supercharger belt slipping need help

Default supercharger belt slipping need help

I have a novi 100 supercharger on my s2k and at full throttle after about 6500-7000 rpms i hear a loud squeal i am thinking obviously that the belt is slipping anyone have any ideas or or anything that can help me out thank you.

quick tip for tightening the CTSC belt..

since there is no auto tentioner you need to brace it with something. i use a breaker bar up against the side to really 'push' it into place. get that thing in there real tight and then tighten the bolt to lock the tensioner.

Definitely the way to go. If you get it tight and the belt still slips buy a new belt. Mine had gotten some oil or something on it and it slipped no matter how tight the belt was.

Yeah tighten it really good. I also used the breaker bar to get some good leverage and it helps if you have two people but it isn't necessary.

If you're getting slippage, I'd get a new belt and tighten it up per the install instructions, belts are cheap so why use one that's already slipped on you, kill two birds with one stone. Don't make it so tight it frays and rips up the hood liner though (been there).
