I ended up with Kraftwerks because it didn't require a standalone, and it had the option of getting reflashed through Hondata. I would look into the SOS group buy if you don't want to deal with the tuning side.

Doh! Sorry, got that totally backward. The SOS nuts/bolts are metric. I had bought both the metric and standard allen socket sets from Home Depot and forgot which set I actually used... No idea how I managed to convince myself (incorrectly) that they were standard.

phew! I saved myself a relatively pitiful amount of money by not having to buy standard sockets like some kind of redneck

I got a comptech kit, non aftercooled and it was a very easy straight forward install. took exactly 10 hours non stop with a little help from my brother. Like ppl said, ask around ur local community and see if someone can lend a hand. Its always good to know how to DIY.

This one is alittle more $ but I thinks its the best option actually, and I currently have a Vortech.

I bought a comptech with AC after some research. I picked it over the Vortech because the comptech seemed more tailored to the s2k. The SOS is a newer kit and in my opinion is a comtech kit with some improvements. If buying new I would buy the SOS over the comptech but it might be hard to find a used SOS. I have heard a lot of great things about kraftworks kit but they appear to be a more advanced kit for people looking for more power. I didn't get it because I was new to FI and wanted a beginner kit.

I took the SC over a turbo because there aren't as many full turbo kits available. Also the smaller turbo kits (which I wanted to start with being new to FI) aren't very high quality in my opinion. The SC also doesn't require a tune on a dyno or after market ECU/piggyback, injectors, ect.

Now down to it. I, with almost no mechanical experience and very little tools was able to install a used SC kit by myself. It did take me a while (probably about 30hrs) but a lot of that time was running back and forth to the store to get tools that I needed. Most of my problems was from the used kit having a smaller pulley on it. I was unable to get the bolt for it off without an impact wrench and once I got it off i needed to rent a tool to get the pulley off. was on there very good and damaged the smaller pulley during its removal. Then i didn't relize that both the belts I had were for the smaller pulley and wasted a few hours trying to get a belt on that wouldn't fit.

but end of story all the problems I had were from me having a used kit and my inexperience. But I was still able to overcome it all and if I could you easily could. The install doesn't require the removal of any major components. basically you just take off the intake and put something else in it's place.

You might be right. I rode in an AP2 with a KW kit the other day and was really impressed. The TTS rotrex kit with the larger blower might be seriously awesome. Wish I knew somebody here who had one... The only thing I'm not sure of with rotrex blowers is their reliability. (Of course, I have no statistical data for centrifugal SCs either, so I don't know either way.)

Yeah I thought it sounded funny, but figured you just installed an SOS kit so you must be right
