I was never happy with the clearance between the blower and the subframe. I was rubbing the bottom side of the aftercooler as well which made a nice gouge in the aluminum.

Thanks everyone for the comments, I'll definitely have a look at the motor mounts, hopefully that fixes the problem.

After I broke both OEM mounts, I installed the Vibra-Technics mounts. I really like them and have no issues with the harshness of engine idle. I will point out that the Vibra-Technics seemed to lower my motor about 1/8" from the OEM mounts. I did not use the OEM heat shields (sandwiched between the top of the mount & the motor) which is ~1/8" thick. If you (or anyone) tries these mounts with clearance problems, then you might need to stick a 1/8" thick spacer in there. Plenty of room with the threads to add even more height if you need to.

I have a Vortech SC and no clearance issues without the spacer. Like iDomN8U stated above, we have to notch out the crossmember to put in the long pulley bolt on our kit. With the engine a tad lower, I did not want to notch this out more. So, I simply loosen the motor mount bolts on the bottom and raise the motor with my jack ~1" then lower it back down once the bolt is in.
