Why? They are basically identical.. you just need to tap the oil pan with the vortech.

vortechs ARE carb legal.

SC are an excellent choice for CA residents. I recently made the same decision. It is not worth the risk right now.

CARB E.O. D-213-21
what is not worth the risk?

According to the Vortech site, their supercharger is CARB legal and 50 states legal ONLY on pre-MY04 cars. They state that MY04 and later kits are for off road use only in California.

As far as I am aware, all Comptech systems were CARB and 50 states legal.

I've missed the story on Comptech. Since they have orders for the product, why are they closing?

Out of Business???

Does this mean that Comptech's most recent release of "supercharger" for MY06 is now non-existent?

If the new "supercharger" for MY06 is still available, would it be wise to even purchase and install it in your car knowing that Comptech is no longer around to fix any future problems this new "supercharger" might have?

Hmmm... I seriously thought of "supercharging" MY06, but I don't think I'll take that risk now.

Any thoughts?
