Yes indeed! Problem is, if you get a Comptech, no support, no parts...
I dont really know what parts other than my aftercooler and airbox are comptech at this point, I dont really see an issue unless people are still breaking brackets. It is a very simple system and people will survive somehow.

Does this mean that Comptech's most recent release of "supercharger" for MY06 is now non-existent?

If the new "supercharger" for MY06 is still available, would it be wise to even purchase and install it in your car knowing that Comptech is no longer around to fix any future problems this new "supercharger" might have?

Hmmm... I seriously thought of "supercharging" MY06, but I don't think I'll take that risk now.

Any thoughts?
Did Comptech ever get the MY06+ kit sorted out well enough to start shipping/selling the things?
If they were "in work," then it seems they're history. Hopefully Vortech will step up and fill the gap.

If you can get a kit for the MY06+ cars, the electronics are going to be more complex, and it might not be easy to replace a failed ESM. On the earlier cars this isn't that big a problem, because there are alternatives, but with the DBW cars I think you might be stuck.

IOW, if I were in your place, I'd be concerned too.

I called vortech about a week ago and the guy told me there kit is ready. He said there just looking for s2k's to put the kit on to see if there are any other problems. He then asked me if i wanted to give them my car to do more testing. I said yes, but they never called . There goes my free install and my discount.

So, are both the Comptech and Vortech centrifugal blowers? Any reliable roots type for the S2k available?

Yea, both the Comptech and Vortech are centrifigual. There are some PD blowers in the works, but I doubt any of them will be CARB certified.
