Default Superchargers! worth it without comptech?

basically, i was origionally thinking of going NA
then i started to get the itch for turbo

and now im thinking to do something middle ground that would be kind of like a merge of the 2

so, are there any good superchargers that will make about 350-450whp?

also, what is price on them, where to buy?

i assume, i can still run a header with a SC?

please fill me in guys

BTW, i currently have a Greddy Ultimate Emanage that i will use for tuning.

thanks

matt

Sure there is, Vortech
I never had a problem with my vortech unit, and was able to make up to 447 on my unit with a small pulley.

There is plenty of information that you can search on this forum about the vortech

Vortech and 350-400 can be done, but not with the bolt on and go kit. You will have to do some other stuff as well.

You know it blows me away...this Comptech thing. The first charger they put out they weren't smart enuf to intercool it. Then Vortech comes out with more boost and an intercooler and Comptech followed behind.

I have 35k on a vortech setup works perfectly...The one time I did need service, it was a one week turnaround and it was all done on warranty.

There's a reason Comptech is no more you know. I guess hype doesn't necessarily make you a good business. After the last buyout, didn't vortech in effect become comptechs parent company or am I wrong?

Vortech's work great

There's a whole lot you have to do on any boosted car when you start running that much boost. Check the FAQ's in this forum, they'll tell you what you need to know.
Check out Sideways car on here. He's pretty straight forward about his mods and has a very successful modified car putting out that kind of power.

I see you're in Greece. I was in the Greek Forum the other day trying to translate it with Babelfish. Didnt work very well

Well, if you have had 350-450whp in mind then I can't see what Comptech had to offer that Vortech doesn't. I hope you realize just how much power 450whp is, but with that aside I think if you want anything over 400whp then I would just go turbo.
