Supertech built head, stock block
I'm having my head built with all Supertech parts that will be able to rev to 10k rpm but don't know what the stock bottom end can safely take. Does anyone know what's safe to rev the bottom end to with a tubular sidewinder manifold and 6262 turbo? Maybe Evans can chime in and answer what is safe. I was thinking maybe 9600-9700 rpm.
Yeah, if you could find out and see if its strong enough to handle 9600-9700 rpm, I'd really appreciate it. I wish someone that has been reving the stock block way up there for a while could chime in.
well the rod length is 153mm stroke is 87mm
that gives a r/s ratio of 1.758 or 1.76 which is damn near ideal for 10k 1.77. so that tells you that the piston side loading is ok, now hardware, rod bolts...wrist pin location..
so theres what i have for you..

That's some good info man, thanks. I wonder if we can get this posted as a sticky for others to use for information on reving the stock block out. Keep me posted on what else you find out when you have a chance.

pretty sure he is ap1 motor. and yeah, you can rev to 10k on that. but if you dont make power there, not worth revvin to it.
big problem with ap1 head is retainers and i think the springs cause float at that rpm. but built head would fix all that.
