Default Supra V160 Getrag Conversion

We are just about done with the conversion kit to put a supra 6 speed for the F20/F22c. The shifter adapter and the clutch will be done next week. Ill keep updating this as we go. The goal is to have it in the car and running by next friday.

Wow LJ! That's awesome! What do you suggest to people looking for a trans solution? This transplant or the gear sets for the stock trans? Any idea's on pricing yet?

Oh yeah, how is the shifter placement? Is is right in the same place as stock to where no one would ever know you have the transplant in it?

Sorry for all the questions. LOL

Thanks man, I know the tranny isnt cheap but these things have been proven over and over. I've found them for around $3500 used and in excellent condition. The price of the whole conversion will be cheaper then going with a dogbox. I have a dogbox in our car and it is terrible to drive on the streets.

Chad, this is the way to go for sure. The shifter will be about 5/8" of an inch towards the back, but we are just about done with the bracket that will put it back in the stock location.

We will offer the adapter kit with or without the shifter to save cost for those that don't mind it being back a little bit.

Thanks LJ. This sounds real promising and I'm glad I waited on doing the gearset now. LOL I'll get ahold of you in the coming months to look into doing this.

Of course this shows up the same week as I put money down on a gearset...
I can't imagine this won't do really well, curious to see the clutch and shifter setup. Way things are going FB is going to have everything to go from stock to monster S2k in one shop.

For sure interesting, I have been debating getting a better turbo/mani setup but been hesitant to weight for a tranny solution.. pending pricing this may be it!
