if you dont mind the cluster not working, pipe the signal directly into the aem via an input, and calibrate it and then tell aem to use that as speedo input.

or, run just on spring for the time being.

i have no idea how to make it work with cluster.

well, yuo can run spring, you will just be SLOW AS SHIT :0

as for input, i think speedo sender is 0-5volt and its linear. id have to look at specifics but as long as you know the values of 0 volt and 5 volt correlation to what speed they =, then scale it and it will at least be close.

but thats all guesses. gotta look to be sure.

Speedo should be very easy to wire. Can you provide more detail on what's going on? It is just sitting at 0mph or it is showing an incorrect reading?

Also, have you wired the speedohealer to a 12V or 5V input?

I am getting nothing on the cluster, the speedo healer is seeing 12v from the o2 sensor that wasnt being used, I ran test mode on the speedo healer and got the t to flash when i put it in first gear indicating its wired correctly, I used 36500 as the calibration, then tried a few more ranging both ways with no luck so far, this was on jack stands with the tires just spinning, dont really know where to go from here, my buddy did the wiring and has the speedo healer going into the back of the aem, the toyota vss clip is spliced into the honda wiring the way the full blown diagram said to.. any help would be greatly appreciated, I wanna get this working so more people can do this easily in the future too

My recommendation would be to use the 5V input instead of the 12V (the dashboard uses 5V for VSS). There's a 5V tap by the driver's side kick panel. Reference the install instructions from modifry (http://www.modifry.com/products/yj/install.htm). The power line is in the C101 connector, yellow/blue wire.

Also, I'm not sure if 36500 is the right # to use for the calibration. I've seen that referenced in this thread once, but it seems excessively high. What other values did you try?

Anyway...try out the 5V power input and see what happens. At the minimum, you'll be operating at the correct voltage (12V is too high). I know other guys who have used our cluster has had issues with running it at a higher input voltage.

thanks I will try that out tomorrow, i started at 36500 then went to 36000, 35500 35000 34500 34000 and so on, i went in the opposite direction too for higher values

I was browsing around the internet to see if I can find the frequency output from our VSS sensors. Assuming the values posted in the forums were correct, the s2k VSS is ~37.6 times faster relative to the v160. Try to set your calibration somewhere around 37 and see what happens.
