Default Synapse Bov on Comptech SC

I have recently purchased a Comptech SC with a synapse bov. The guy who sold me had no issues with it. I haven't install it yet.

Could you please tell me if there are any issues with this BOV as it looks to work different than the other BOV's?
Any danger staying open at idle?

I will appreciate any help.

Thanks
Chris

I had the same setup on my Comptech kit for a while and I didn't notice any issues at all, just make sure you get the filter that goes over the opening of the BOV to be on the safe side

I bought one of those crank case filters from the local V8 speed shops.

Mine didn't make any sounds at all, only during quick blips of the throttle when I'm under the hood, but its silent when I drive/shift.

The only benefits I could think of is that it functions similar to the bypass valves provided in the Comptech kits which stay open during vacuum, the synapse one is also less likely to leak boost unlike the Comptech one.

^^^ so as long as i don't see any boost fluctuation or loss with the recirc then its not worth modding with a BOV it sounds like.
