I like the way the Synchronic is designed (pull-type piston), and it does allow more sound for us lower-boost s/c folks.

It's more of a headache to install though, since it doesn't bolt right up. You just have to get a shop to fab and weld a flange for you, so you can run it.

1)The piece the kit comes with is NOT aluminum. It's stainless steel. If your pipe is aluminum, you need to buy the aluminum piece. If you try to weld the stainless steel piece to the aluminum, you will run into a heap of problems.

2)The hoses....the ports on the back of the BOV need to be connected for a vacuum source, and the port on the side, a)you can not use it if you are running under 10lbs of boost or b)if you want to use it, it must be connected to a BOOST ONLY source. NO VACUUM.
So i need to custom a new aluminum Mounting flange if my Aftercooler is aluminum correct? Can i actually order the aluminum piece from USA if they can't custom one in LAOS ? where can i find one?

The 2 ports on the back of the BOV do i need to tee it like the diagram to the vacuum source for SC? Where is the vacuum source on SC located?

The port on the side do i just leave it as is if i am running under 10lbs of boost or it better to connect it to boost source anyway

Once this is done it should work fine yeah?

But either way a Godzilla will make more noise on your SC than the Synchronic will sitting on your desk.

Go to their website...
http://www.synapseengineering.com/

Click on products--->BOV and look at all the available fittings. If one of those fittings matches the BOV mount you already have, then get that one. If not, you will need the first one on the list, and have it welded on.

Hey here is a dumb question, other then sound is there any reason for safe function sake that I should be running a BOV at 8-10psi? Is the stock CT recirc good for mid/hi boost?

Thanks...

Stock CT diverter works fine. BOV for SCs is mainly a sound thing. It does get rid of flutter at higher boost levels though, which is quite annoying.

Flutter? i'm ultimately concerned about putting boost where it shouldn't be, wondering if its putting strain on anything long term, even if its just the stock recirc valve. Anything bad happen when that goes out?

I guess the BOV would reduce strain on the impeller, even though it's belt driven and can't turn the other way like turbos (compression surge).

I tried to do some research on whether or not a BOV was necessary for high boost blower apps as well. Nothing really conclusive. Some people say they would always put one on vs. there's no real benefit except the pshhh sound.

Well thanks for the feedback, doesn't sound like there is any reason for alarm or any red flags. On one hand it might be fun to have, but my car stands out more then enough, I'm afraid that would just attract more negative attention.
