Test pipe or High Flow Cat for my turbo?
I got the Greddy turbo on my AP1 with the Greddy 70mm single with stock cat. I want to either change this to the Berk Hi flow cat, 60mm or 70 mm test pipe. Stock cat seems to be choking the top still and i want to get rid of that problem before tune.
I know some of the AP2's have had bad creep but the AP1's seem to only have around 2 lbs of creep at 7-9k RPM. (At least some have reported this.) I really wouldnt mind as I am only seeing 7lbs of boost right now and really want to tune around 10-12 max anyways...
Just looking for opinions but do you think I should I maybe go with a 60mm test pipe or the Berk Hi flow cat? I think the 70 may have a larger creep problem than the 60?
Thanks guys

i had 60mm test pipe with first tune, and did not see 1lb or boost creep. However, I am also running profec II boost controller.
If I were you i'd either go 70mm test pipe or wait for berk's 70mm HFC to come out. Those two options would net you the highest #'s i'd say.

My AP1 creeped up to 12-13 psi with a 70MM TP and 3" single so I stuck the cat back in. If you go to chuch's like I did and get boost creep he will make it run very rich up top to make it safe and you'll loose some top end anyways. If you don't mind spending the money I'd probably go with the HFC or leave the cat in, and seeing that your in LA I'd keep it legal.

anyone else?
I know kit used a test pipe and he had zero problems with boost creep.

I'd say to use anything but the stock cat. Test pipe is good if you don't mind the smell and are ok with killing baby fur seals

Iv'e got the Berk 60mm HFC now and its way better than the stock cat in terms of top end power. I think They are going to make a 70mm HFC - once they do I'll have a 60 for sale.

I have no problem with the death of the baby seals also, they eat too many fish and we have an over population problem here in Southern California.
