Default Thinking about buying a used vortech kit

I've made my decision to go supercharged. I'm looking at a used vortech kit that has a missing fuel pump and fuel regulator. Would a walbro 255 lph pump be a good replacement for the vortech fuel pump? For the fuel regulator, is ordering from vortech the only option?

I'm also debating if I should buy new or used. Of course I would save money with used, but may have to go through the hassle of missing parts, and no warrenty. Superchargesonline has the satin kit for 4999. I haven't tried to negotiate with other vendors. Anybody buy a vortech kit recently? Who has the best prices?

Thanks.

as long as the previous owner took care of the car/charger it should be fine.I'd ask for a dyno of the car to see that everything was running ok.I picked up my charger from superchargersonline for $4600 about two years ago...talk to the guy and try to get a better deal.I'm pretty sure i could've gotten a better deal if i haggled with him more but i was sick that week so i said ok for $4600.

I have a Vortech FMU if you're interested.

I know vortech has raised their prices. How much was the first quoted price when you bought it?

When buying a used kit, be very cautious. I just got finished installing the used vortech kit I purchased. I was missing over $450 worth of parts that I had to overnight from Vortech. The guy still has yet to refund me for the so-called "complete kit."
