Default Vortech FMU

Ive done a search with no real answer so I figure I'd post it here. Do any of you know if the rate for the Vortech fmu for the 00-03 is the same rate as the 04-05 Vortech fmu with the 5th injector? I'm pretty sure the 00-03 is a 10:1 ratio. How about the 04-05?

I don't know for sure, but would think since the ap2 kit comes with the 5th injector to supply the added fuel the f22 needs, that the rate is the same. You will find out once you hook it up and check your afr's, assuming you have a wideband hooked up. I wouldn’t run FI without one.

I do have a Wideband. I figure since the car is in storage and I'm putting on the kit over the next month or so that I would make sure it's going to be ok instead of pulling it apart to order and install a vortech calibration kit.

For anyone interested I found out that the 04-05 fmu is a 4:1 va the ap1 10:1.

So they calibrated it to deliver less fuel pressure per psi?

Screwy, they should have followed Comptech's lead. They produce much better performing fpr's for their ap1/ap2 kits. No 5th injector needed, just a steeper fuel pressure ramp up ratio for the ap2 kits. And they are also adjustable
