Default Thinking about the darkside...

Have done my "searches" and just have a few questions that I'd like to gather opinions on...I've decided a supercharger isn't for me (nothing against them)...My biggest issue with the car is lower end torque...Supercharger won't help me much if at all there...

So it's looking like it's turbo time...

My goals are modest...Honestly I'm not in the market for a 600whp beast...The S2K will likely continue to be my daily driver and only see the garage on poor weather days...

I'd like to have a HP goal of about 375-450 WHP....Please keep that in mind when giving me any recs...As always and as anyone would say I'd like to get that number on a reliable setup...Motor will remain completely stock...I'm not trying to be cheap with this...But I'd like to stay conservative....

My biggest issue is determining a rough estimate of overall project costs...Would like to sure up all the funds before diving in...I'll have cash on the side for the unexpected...But for the time being trying to determine what is needed along with the setups that are out there to both meet my goals and have everything covered (ie. intercooler, ems, gauges, ect)

Can people please chime in on the following:

PFab Turbo Stage 1 kit....I've heard of most upgrading the turbo included in this kit...Necessary for my goals? Any suggestions on what to upgrade to? What else will I need with the kit and what parts do you suggest?

PTuning Kit....Which of the several turbos used would you reccomend for my goals...What else would I need...What power range should be expected?

MASE turbo kit...Just learning about this one...Higher priced then both above from what I understand...

Thanks fellas and gals...

It´s not THAT dark over here, actually really nice. Sun, chicks in bikinis and a lot of adrenaline.

You have the kits you mentioned and also FullBlown Stage 1, these companies will help you out when you need and that´s probably the most important part if you´re not used to these things.

Check prices and what you get.

mase is priced higher because it comes with everything you need besides a clutch

if you buy any of the other kits, you will still need a clutch, injectors, EMS, maybe more depending on what it includes

Full blown has done me right. Chek there stage one kit. Will def do what u want. Pump gas will be ur limiting factor.

As with all FI. Adding it to a car that didn't come with it will adversely effect reliability. That being said I would still drive my car across country if I had too.

I give you this piece of advice buddy, whatever you think you want out of the car power wise go for twice that much. I just finished spending a pile and building my 400hp setup, and all I can think of is tearing off the hotside and bolting on a sidewinder and gt40r. Its like a damn disease I tell you. It has taken me less than a year to be unsatisfied with the power. The darkside is a powerful foe my friend, approach it with caution. Laying into the throttle and feeling that surge is worse than crack.
