Default For those with PFab ELT kits

My new Pfab elt kit will be here soon and i'm wondering if my fuse box will be out of the way enough. I've turned it 90 degrees with a full race bracket and i've got it all heat wrapped and ready to withstand some heat.

i don't want to be posting a "my car caught fire" thread so did you guys relocate the fuse box to the dash, fender.... or did turning it give you enough clearance?

Here is a pic and i can remove it if the owner wants

You can turn it, but for no more work than it takes, and how much it actually cleans up your bay, just move it. The a/c is a bigger concern than your fuse box anyway, it's right in the way.

Totally different kit...but the first day after I installed my Full-Race kit, my fuse box started to melt (it was turned sideways). I had to use my front license plate and a coat hanger that I found on the side of the road to fab up a ghetto heat shield so I could get the car home

I would say move it. Mine is now behind the passenger side fender.

I didn't have to extend any of the fuse box wires except the main power wire IIRC

You can always get a shield for the fuse box like "sarek" did with his full race kit. I believe he got it from atp wrap. Have a look at his build thread.
