I know about the modifry kit to get the temp gauge working again, but if the serial gauge can give me these readings, then I'd prefer going wthat route instead of paying additoinal for the kit..

If AEM didn't get the calibrations quite right for water temp (per Siadam), will it read correctly/accurately on the serial gauge?

Also, where is that thread which converts the Kpsi to psi on the AEM serial gauge??

I never understood why people wanted to be 'discrete' about their FI when it comes to their gauges. Its one thing to not want 5 or 6 of them staring at you in the face all the time (that I agree with), but its another to try and hide them or consolidate them so they're less noticeable to other people. Like seriously...what FI setup do you know that doesn't attract attention? Turbo cars scream and SC cars whine...no single gauge in the world is going to change that.

I hear what your saying but, to each is own. I "personally" prefer the clean sleek look of the interior. I rather surprise the hell out of someone and enjoy the expression on their face(s) when they figure out I'm boosted by the sound of my car then just figuring it out by noticing a cluster of gauges in my dash.

the serial gauge will read whatever the ems tells it to.

you'd have to change the water and air temp calibrations in aem pro.

I have the AEM serial gauge and i am very happy with it. It can display evry single information the map sensor gives to the ecu.The main disandvantage is you cannot have everything simuatenusly, but you can programm it and if a parameter exceeds a certain value it will automatically display this parameter. No i am going turbo and i want to have all the parameters simuatenusly i will install an indash screen and run the aem program on the screen through a carpc. This is a solution too

the AIM Sports dash's also connect to the serial port and read the telemetry output from the ems.

they are a little more than the PCS dash but they have more options available and i think they look better too.

I actually like the PCS dashs over the AIM . .

We put the AIM in a local's car and I just liked the PCS i have seen previously. . . Just my 2cents

I use just a A/F gauge and my AEM serial gauge in my f20 powered drag car. . . I love it . .

PCS dash are great if you want to display a ton of parameters at once. It connects to the AEM EMS through the serial port. The dash is touch screen, is its own datalogger and has a "pass through mode" that allows you to connect to the AEM EMS right through the dash. There are a ton of other features it can do, and the logger software is on par with most of the other remote dashes like race pak, motec, etc. http://www.powertraincontrolsolution...atalogging.php

Price is around 675-700.00 from most dealers. I have used one a few years ago in our drag car and loved it.
that is F@$#%$#@N sick. i mean i dont need it, but damn is it nice.

i love my serial gauges. i did two of them. AFR on one and water temp on the other is what i stare at.

but for shits and giggles i will look at one of like 12 other things.

knock, air temp, o2fb %, voltage, water temp, afr, psi, speed <fun one since it has max memory, i think i hit 140ish so far with it lol>, etc etc.

x3 on what wadzii said. the software sucks that comes wiht it. absolutely sucks donkey balls. i mean a ****** moron wrote it, and a ****** moron approved it. yes it works, but for the price you pay for the gauge, they coulda spent more then 10 bucks and 5 mins making the software.
