Default Thoughts on Ultimate racing Turbo kit.

Ive been reading up on the Ultimate Racing turbo kit and for the money it seems so perfect. E-manage with Map, injectors..etc. at a conservative 7psi 300 whp 200tq. I know that superchargers are supposed to be known to be more reliable but this actually has decent engine management and such a better power curve. Why spend $5000 on a comptech kit when 500 more will get you the Ultimate Racing kit? Anybody have any 1st hand experience with this kit? opinions needed! Thanks

you can get a comptech for $3900 in the GB forum. There is not need to get Aftercooler.

SC is a lot cheapper than a Turbo kit.

No need until you decide to up the boost that is And I agree with you that a SC is WAY cheaper than a turbo.

its not as easy as just putting the turbo kit on your car and running the map they have all around town...The map is tuned well enough so that you can drive to your tuner so they can tune it to your specific car. Don't think that you can get away without tuning either because you probably will end up blowing your motor so add a couple more hundred to the ultimate racing kit for tuning.....

Very good points...

If you were concerned about emissions (such as living in CA, with our crappy smog laws) and didn't want to spend too much time or money for tuning, then I suggest getting the Comptech...it's the closest to being a plug and play FI mod...

If emissions are NOT a concern and you didn't mind spending some $$$ on tuning (with an EXPERIENCED tuner), then a UR turbo is a possibility for you...just keep in mind that with this route, it's NOT plug and play no matter what anybody says...tuning is DEFINITELY key here...
