Hey Mike, welcome to the S2000 world, you'll find that our cars are much different than the mustangs that you are used to driving. The S2000 is a great all around car but it does lack that extra kick that your looking for. If your looking into superchargers please be aware that its going to take some work to get high horsepower, however, it has been done. What are your goals for the car? you might want to sit down and make a list of what you really want out of this car. If your looking into straight line speed, you may want to consider a turbo setup. If your looking into track/autocross performance then a supercharger or even a turbo setup would be a fine choice. As far as suspension goes, our cars have a very nice setup from the factory, however, there are tons of options for our car if you decide to change it up. Axles for our car are on the weak side, but this vehicle wasn't made for huge horsepower, so be aware that if your shooting for high horsepower, you might want to look into an upgraded diff/axles. I hope this helps, I would suggest searching the force induction threads for more detailed information, this site has TONS of info.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
What's your power goals?
The V3 kits are self lubricated which many have had issues with. I have a V2 kit and been really happy with it. I'm at 12 psi and will be upgrading some things this winter trying to hit 450whp with it. Currently at 406.
If your looking for big power like you had in your mustangs I would definitely go the turbo route.

For that goal a clutch is needed. Can use stock axles, diff, driveshaft, trans etc. As long as you launch correctly they should last. If you plan to launch it constantly than a different rear end would be good.
400whp is no big deal for the stock parts. Especially when it's supercharged.
I'd look into the SOS sc kit with the 1200 blower personally.
As for supporting mods; stand alone ecu, Injector Dynamic 1000cc injectors, fuel pump, MAP sensor, upgraded front mount heat exchanger, clutch, gauges etc.
