Default Tial waste gate

Brand new 44mm tial wg pfab log mani I put a spring in, inserted inner flange, then tried to install on mani. When I push the wg onto mani it is pushing the wg open causing zero boost. Seems to me the inner flange is wrong size but it came with the wg. Has anyone else had this problem? Could I just install wg without the inner flange?

Are you talking about the fire ring?

Yeah fire ring/ inner wastegate flange I just start it up feel a lot of exhaust coming out of wastegate turbo does not spin. It is only 3psi just tring to run low boost so I can work out cinks. That wg piston should rest against that ring/flange to seal causing turbo to spin at idle but no go its a fairly large turbo on a 2.0 maybe it should not spin? Maybe All tials leak some I just don't know?

I thought it could only go one way with the lip in the mani it does not fit the other way? this 2.0 doesn't put out 3lb of pressure at idle causing the waist gate to stay open does it?

Thanks for the help guys I had a leak in my Wastegate regulator way to much vacuum going to wastegate causing it to open.
Question regarding this issue I'm just taking the regulator off from the top of the wastegate and on the side is if okay to keep these wastegate fittings venting to atmosphere. I would think so but just want to check
