Tial Wastegate problems
So my wastegate seems to not be holding boost. I can hear it hissing out of the dump tube. Will a torn diaphragm cause this or would this be a bad valve seat/valve? I haven't really herd of the valve or seat going bad too often.
It takes a ton of throttle to get any boost, but the wastegate does fully open once you build boost so im thinking it isnt the diaphragm.
The hissing/squeeling sound isnt the same as the sound of the wastegate dumping as it normally does and it leaks out regardless of boost pressure/turbine speed. The sound is DIRECTLY connected to the throttle and definitely sounds like its coming from the dump tube. I cant feel any leaks around with my hand except for my small manifold crack.
any clue?

i never experienced leaks with my tial 44m wastegate. But at one point it got so hot that the diaphragm melted!!! it was a hot day driving down the beach and there was a lot of traffic so it built up a lot of heat and melted the suck right off. Yeaaaaa ... thank god my tuner is a genius by setting a boost cut-off in the AEM. i hit like 25lbs of boost and it cut everything off. pheww
inspect it and then post after u get a good look at it

well, theres no problem with the wastegate. The turbo was actually coming off the manifold. I lost one of the nuts but i got 3/4 of them so i should be fine. I drove for 9hrs with only 2 nuts holding it on so i figure im fine to drive 4hrs with 3.
