I'd make sure those Arias pistons will be compatable with the cylinder wall. It takes a very very high silicon content aluminum to work with the S2000 stock cylinder walls. You may end up adding iron sleeves.

Are the two Hondata gaskets the same thing?

I would go with the 750 injectors. You will probably max out the 650s. I had a similar setup that made 450 rwhp. We needed to raise the fuel pressure even with 750s.

FYI, If you raise the redline with the AEM EMS the boost will increase. The 4 inch pulley is good for 13-15 psi depending on rpm and engine breathing.
I also thought that you had to sleeve a f20c block to put pistons in it because of the very high silicon content ? I could be wrong

I just bought the 3.8 inch pulley from venomous. Thanks.

What belt do I need? I read the FAQ, but it seemed to be some differences of opinion between the 49, 49.5 and 50 inch belt.
When I run the 3.8 inch pulley it is with either the 4060500 (50 inch) or the 4060495 (49.5.) Both will work.

Looks like I'll be going the same way and not sleeving my block. As such I am interested in your findings on the Arias 9.5:1 pistons and their compatibility with FRM cylinders.

Also, can you tell me what they cost?

For those hp numbers, why are you going to spend the money to port-n-polish the head? Also, the stock head comes with a 4-angle valve job.

Interesting point on the Hondata gasket... I put mine back on with the new motor not knowing about the above. I agree about the Cometic head gasket. If you get the 2mm, be sure it's the newer version(same as the original version). Supposedly Cometic took liberties with the original design, manufactured some and was having a higher failure rate than acceptable. They went back to the original design.

FWIW, we put 387 to the wheels(Dynojet) Monday with a Comptech sc on a stock bottom. Tuning was with 7 month old gas, plugs gapped too small, and a marginally clean/dirty air filter. Head work was done by Laskey. I just haven't had a chance to post a write-up.

Added: 1.4 BAR(almost 20psi) at 9800 rpm.

There is no point in a Cometic 2mm head gasket if you are replacing the pistons.

On the Hondata Intake Manifold insulator, I accpet that you are loosing the heatsink properties of the intake manifold but does anyone actually thing this is a major factor in cooling? If your cooling system is up to scratch then you don't need it, and if it's not, you'll know all about it, insulator or no.

Not sure. I had it on before, so I just put it on again.

Agreed on the head gasket.

Because I say 400whp now, but knowing me that might go up and I might as well do it now when the engine is apart.

I havent heard back from the shop about the piston compatibility. Is there a high quality piston that does work with a nonsleeved block? What about Wisco?

True enough, but the add'l $750-$800 to do it is not worth it for such low hp numbers. You're not going to get much more out of the Vortech either. We have a guy, NO S8NT, that just dyno'd 417 on a Dynojet on 93 octane.

Block completely built, head work, the whole nine yards. If you're thinking you may want more later, ditch the sc now and just...
