Budget had nothing to do with it. The only time that came up was when you were overcharging for some parts and I said I would get them elsewhere (and I did) and when your 'additional un-quotable expenses' were near $1000 and I challanged you to tell me how that broke down. The answer I recieved was 'there is always stuff that comes up.' I never said I wouldnt pay for anything you quoted me or the addition of sleeves. I also know there might be additional things that come up, but not $1000 worth of additional things that you could not exactly spell out what they are except 'additional labor, fluids, misc replacement parts as needed.'

Of course I am going to be a smart consumer and ask for a detailed and close to accurate quote before anyone starts work. Questioning some of your charges and prices doesnt mean I dont have the budget, it just means I want to make sure I dont get screwed with a lot bigger bill at the end.

BTW, I had $7K left after buying the fuel stuff (AEM, inj, pulley) for the engine build. If 7K was too little for SoS to build my engine then they should stick to NSX.

Ben -- Your memory and my memory differs on how things came about.

As I said before, it was a team decision based on a consensus that we could not meet your expectations. As customers make rational objective-based decisions on what companies to use, we also sometimes need to make decisions on which customers we know we can deliver a quality product for that we can stand behind.

Regardless, I'm glad to hear you're back on the road.

Cheers,
-- Chris

You guys certainly are discussing this in a professional and mature way, I'm just surprised you're doing it on an internet forum. Didn't you have a chance to get all this handled face to face or on the phone?
