Default Timing for FI

We talk frequently about AFRs but timing is seldom mentioned.

What sort of timing range do people use? I saw reference to 19 degrees to 4500 tapering to 16 at 7000.

Since my engine rebuild I've had a few issues with under hood temps (such as melted Clutch master cylinder and ABS modulator (RHD)) and I haven't even done any serious runs.

If I remember correctly some of my timing is in the 30 degree range. I'll have to confirm that on my laptop.

I'm turbo on decompressed engine (9:1) currently only running about 6 psi (will tune up to 20).

Well this thread really got some feedback.

DO I have to ask which is better, Inline or FullRace? to get any responses.

My supercharged Church tuned numbers are a bit more conservative (2 degrees less in the upper reaches) with the 91 octane locally.

California gas sucks. We have 92 octane in Washington, so a little better. Also, I'm using water/meth injection that kicks in at about 12 psi.

Here's mine. It is a bit conservative, but I want to make sure that everything is safe. 91 octane pump gas is a bit too unpredictable to take a lot of chances.

My timing is similar to that: 19 degrees until ~4000 RPMs and tapers to 16 degrees at 7000 RPMs. I haven't been able to take the car to 8500 RPMs yet, so I don't know what the timing will be like up there, but I am sure it will continue to decrease.

It is my understanding that this amount of timing is very conservative.

Thanks guys.

I notice some very low numbers around idle. Maybe that's where mine is out.
