The all balls out method to me would be the best approach. The timid driver is the driver that breaks stuff. Launching your car at lower rpms and dumping the clutch strains the drivetrain. Something has to give and if your clutch doesnt slip or tires dont break a little loose all that power has to be dispensed and thats when axles break. I have had great success as well as others in reving high and using the clutch as leverage. Like others have said as soon as you feel ANY wheel hop let out of it. More importantly just get seat time and get comfortable with the car.

I'm going to do just what Joeyballs is: go to the track, run the car without beating on it, and see what happens. My goal is to have a blast, enjoy the car and not damage it. I don't need to prove how fast it is to myself or anyone else. I just wanna enjoy WOT without looking for cops, and hopefully run some decent numbers. I don't understand why some people think this is a bad idea just because I'm not gonna launch super hard.

me three.
i think this sounds like a plan.
then slowly work up to its max potential once you get a feel for things the first few times you go.
thats what im gonna do. I dont see anything wrong with this mentality- in fact, i think its the smartest thing to do for us track noobs that arent familiar with things yet. get some practice runs a few nights, and then let it go 100%.
can't wait

I am liking the pointers with the ebrake though realstreet

all due respect to some of the forum vets that posted on here, if you are not familiar with the car, go easy once or twice, and i promise the adrenaline will do the rest. you will EVENTUALY break things... but hey, save some cash and then buy the 8.8 kit lol. Just be safe, and make sure to check fluids etc, and use something that wont boil under hard braking. Better to get beat than go home with a damaged car.

100% TPS from start to finish.

Everything else falls in line after that.

I'm guessing 100% TPS= WIDE OPEN THROTTLE
I kept trying to figure out why your torque numbers were so high. I was like damn, I made a good amount more horsepower but he made more torque! how the hell is that, then I noticed you were F22.

also those Torque numbers where on Q16, also I think that was on a "glory pull" if you will, currently the car (on q16) is 600hp and 425trq
