Wow that sucks, glad your ok. Im very intrested to know what happened. Im kinda scared now because my rear end is making some strange noises too. I dont want to end up in a ditch. Please let us know what the car did when you find out. I imagine you will be inspecting the rear end and diff very carefully.

Wow, I almost could not believe what I was reading! You have spent a lot of time and effort to turn your S into a monster. Glad to hear your still in one piece and a fellow member was with you to help.

Man this situation is what I hope I never have to think about! Goodluck man and don't give up on the S2K too quick.. Sometimes you will be happy with another two door for sometime, but like most others said you'll be back.. And you got an insane parts list!

insurance company can't do shit. i only had liability on the car and it was soo heavily modded that if i had full coverage... once they took a look at it hahaha i'd be in soo much trouble.

It is nice having a fast powerful car but honestly.. for what it was worth...the more power you have...it gets far more dangerous and no matter how much money you put into the car, you can't predict something like what happened to me..that can actually happen at any-time.

I thought about rebuilding the car but it would cost way too much $$$ and i would be better off salvaging the parts since all the important stuff wasn't touched at all. and just get another car and start all over.

Something better will come out of this, i'm still gonna be apart of the community and im gonna miss everything that has gone around here. and i PROMISE if i get another car im not gonna be a d!ck and compare and contrast the differences in our cars
Oh gotcha. Damn man. Now I feel reAl bad for ya. Once u feel better just start salvaging parts. Might be able to find a shell cheap

Glad to see that you're able to walk away from this with minor injuries, it looked like it could have been a lot worse.

Please keep us posted on how you're doing, and if you ever find out the exact cause of the Diff/axle failure.

Ages ago there were a few threads about the clicking noise you describe. If I remember correctly, the diagnosis were loose rear axle nuts. I remember one guy having to tighten the rear axle nuts over and over again to get rid of the clicking noise (which only happened when driving away from a dead stop...not even accelerating hard).

Like everyone says, you are okay. That's the most important thing. Statistically, it is next to impossible that this would occur to you twice. Please don't let it discourage you...it was just awful luck. Hang in there...

Dam sorry for your loss. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe something good will come from the whole experience. Good luck.
