it doesn't even have a thousands miles on it
If it wasn't for circumstances, I would have been on that run with you and Sideways.

At the end of the day, it's just a car (albeit one we all love), and everything on it can be replaced. I am really glad you walked away from this. Thank goodness this didn't occur on some of the other canyons that are not so forgiving.

i soooo thought about the nsx but... shit man... i don't think i look good in that car. Its too low and wide for me. i don't think it would fit in my garage either hahaha plus the nsx costs soo much more then our s2k's do. I'd have to keep it stock.
Unfortunately for me...i need a car to be at least 400hp. so whatever i end up getting all over again...im gonna boost it. I'm doing as much research as i can right now before i make up my mind
Yeah I hear you. Trust me the NSX is expensive in every aspect. You could build a pretty nice s2000 for the price of a nice solid stock NSX. I just hope you stay in the honda family!

Again man I am glad you are alright, and just remember it could have been alot worse. Anything else you build isn't even going to compare to the power your car made. I'm just happy I got to see that beast in person.

idk man... next time around.. i might build something even better stronger parts for sure too.. but its still too early to make any huge decisions. I'm doing my research on whats worth $$ vs $$ on either putting my stuff into another s2k vs just buying a whole new car. so far it seems like a cheaper and less hassel to just buy a new car. but my honda heart is stressing me out hardcore on putting it in a shell. I swear..everytime i think about it...and do the debate..i get the WORST headache!! i sh!t u not.

Wow. I dont really run around this forum like i used to, but i do stop by once in a while. I clicked on this, and as the page was loading i was thinking "no way" and then saw it. Crazy man. Stranger things have happened. Pretty good chance you will never know what caused the accident.

As others have said, nothing will ever feel like this car. I have a 450hp evo now, came from a 508hp s2000, and it doesnt feel anywhere NEAR as fast. Not even close. Rebuild it!

Sorry to hear about your car. I dont understand how building another car would be cheaper then just buying another car and switching your stuff over. I also dont see how an axle breaking is gonna spin you like that?

did you read the whole thread? i think they were saying that the rear diff could have failed, locking up, and sending the car into the wall.

it was brand new and i guess not broken in.

it was broken in.. had 476 miles on it i think.

im still thinking about what im gonna do. cuz i have no idea how much its gonna cost to get the shell. then Plus all the money it will cost to put everything in, i can't do it on my own. Anything could go wrong if i make the slightest mistake also. it would be like a 6+ month project also. Time wise... i really want a nice car and i can't wait another 6 months like i did with the turbo..motor rebuilt. I went CRAZY driving my little beater around.

Do it. Ill help and i know plenty of people on the boards would too. Then your 6month project gets cut in half.

damn sorry to hear that... i had a similar thing happen to me 10 years ago its really frustrating and emotional, give yourself some time to get better, take it easy and see where things go. you can always put the swap in another chassis (240, RX7, etc), but then it would be less of a street car, at least it would have a stronger rear!

edit: dont get anything with a v6! ie nsx, g35/350z just say no!
