Default Traction

So I re-did a lot of stuff, and recently threw on some 275 kuhmo mx tires, and now even in 1st gear i get full traction...500whp i love it! i hope nothing breaks drivetrain wise now lol (i still have never launched my car or done a burnout, so im keeping my fingers crossed.)
k that is all lol

I have 285 Dunlop Star Specs on back and can't seem to get them to break loose. LOL I agree with big tires in back. Of course I also have a puddymod stage 3 diff.

well i went with low offset wheels so i had to run over fenders, cut the crap out of the quarter panel, cut the bumper, cut the bumper bracket and bend it back towards the rear of the car and i'm still running about -2 deg camber. wheels are 18x9.5+40 with 275/35/18. they don't make a 275/30/18, so the tire sidewall was what caused a lot of the rubbing issue.

My differential went without doing burnouts and launching. Good luck.

I must be doing something wrong! Im on 295 a048'S and my car slides around like im on ice skates. I dont get it, I seriously cant even roll into the throttle in 3rd gear without the rear sliding out HARD every single time. Makes me hesitant to even get on it.

Are you guys all near stock height giving the suspension enough room to travel? I pretty much have no gap from the fender to the tire. Most likely this is a NONO for FI.

the car is also a few hundred pounds lighter than stock with absolutely no weight in the rear. Ive spent all this time and energy building this thing and Im scared to even hit vtec.

Also the roads are like glass here..... and HOT.

any suggestions>? throw some weight in the rear and raise it up er what?

it may be the ao48s. theyre race tires. too hot or too cold and grip suffers. you tried any other tires besides them with the setup?

Lower the tire pressure to around 22 psi? I run around on 18 psi but I run BFG 275/35/18 DR's.

I can hit 22 psi WOT in 2nd and quick shift to third and never lose traction. The star specs are awesome. I have Koni yellows on the lower setting, but have stock springs and sway bars.

I had to roll the fenders, but thats all to get them to fit. I have S2000 specific offsets

Ya maybe it is the tires. I wonder if they offer the star specs in a 295/30?

Also the tires are cambered possibly too much being so low. Contact patch most likely doesn't resemble a true 295 being the angle of the tire. I dream of being able to quick shift into 3rd without breaking traction. Wow!!!

I was going to try the AD08's next. You they would offer similar dry traction to the star specs? I know they come in a 295/30
