I got the star specs also, they grip VERY well.

I'm also running JIC FLTA2 coilovers with 10K/ 12K springs corner balanced and suspension tuned for high speed. I think it's got a little more toe than usual out back, but I'd have to check the specs..

Also the tires are cambered possibly too much being so low. Contact patch most likely doesn't resemble a true 295 being the angle of the tire.
Bingo, I think some guys forget this aspect. I'm running 295's as well and still get them to spin in 1st gear with my whopping 360whp/225trq. But I'm not running a drag set up with my -3 camber in the rear. I'm getting a 215 contact patch if I'm lucky. Your likely facing the same issue, that and your R comps are all cycled out from running on the street. Get some Kuhmo XS or Starspecs.

just threw some starspecs on my car as well. I haven't been able to go WOT because i'm not tuned yet, but the lateral grip is insane compared to my old tires.

Once my tires are done, I'll def be switching to a 275+ size tire...255 ain't cuttin' it.

If you get star specs you will be fine.
I had falken 615's and I was all over the road with the rear kicking out, switched to star specs and the car is planted! I run 255's also on a nine inch rim. These tires are sticky!

+40 offset
-3 camber
ao48's breaking loose in third

camber is a killer for straight line performance.

18*9.5" +55 here and running a 275-35-18 at stock -1 camber. fits with fender roll and bumper tab relocation perfect. zero rub, even on dragon

i have had ao48's. they are awesome. dont lower there pressure to 22, keep it at 32 cold or higher. run less CAMBER!

I agree...if you're looking for straight line traction and speed out of the hole, you want to run 0 camber to achieve the maximum contact patch.

I am running 295 series Advan AD08's but lots of camber for roadcourse work. Love 'em though! But they ain't cheap.

rolling the fenders and relocating the bumper tab is really easy esp if you know someone with the fender roller tool.

worst case post up in your local forum if someone can do it. its worth it to run a wider tire out back
