Default Trans failure with high Hp Forced Induction

We all know that the transmission becomes a weak point on s2000s once you start putting down roughly 500-600whp. But it seems like it may be inconsistent problems and some people are putting down huge power w the stock trans and not having a problem even after many many passes at the Drag Strip. Hell some people have stripped 2nd gear just rolling into the throttle in 2nd w 500whp+.

I understand driving style may be a contributing factor. however the point of this poll to possibly see a correlation between years and which year transmissions show the highest failure rates. For this reason, if you blew up your trans and swapped to a different year and are now running strong no problem. The please vote twice. (example. AP1 guy swapping to an AP2 trans)

There is a difference between 04/05 trans and 06+ transmissions. (Honda has a TSB of improper clearances for some 04/05 transmissions. so I
am curious if we'll see higher failure rates w the 04/05 AP2 trans vs the 06+)

I do not know if Honda changed anything for the AP1 transmissions. if they did I will add the year split to the poll option.

*to be clear. This poll is for damage to the trans because of high whp/tq. Do not include clutch failure or synchro failure due to driver error.

please post the following for reference

-Power level (whp/wtq):
-rear diff (OEM/built/swapped):
-miles boosted:
-s2000 year:
-transmission year:
-clutch:
-CDV (clutch delay valve)
-tires:
-MTF fluid:
-Running Strong / or Explain failure

****EXAMPLE**** My setup: ****
-Power level (511whp/322wtq):
-rear diff (PuddyMod Stg1.5):
-miles boosted: 800 (I hav'nt voted)
-s2000 year: 2006
-transmission year: 2004
-clutch: ACT/OEM Disc
-CDV: REMOVED
-tires: 255/35/18 RE11
-MTF fluid: OEM Honda
-Running Strong (not enough miles boosted to make determination yet)

Blew second gear during a race, girly 542whp. Held up fine for highway but not for MT´s and weekend fun. Low miles on car and tranny.

-Power level (whp/wtq). 700whp 500tq
-rear diff (OEM) upgraded mount stiffeners
-miles boosted ~3500
-your s2000 year. 2005
-your transmission year same / stock

Tranny seems to be extra notchy in second, we will see.

I think clutch type, tires and tranny fluid are also super important.

GM synchromesh fluid.

-Power level (whp/wtq): 800/6 something
-rear diff (OEM/built/swapped): fbm ford 8.8
-miles boosted: 10,000
-s2000 year: 2004
-transmission year: 2004, now swapped for a v160
-clutch: comp 6 puck sprung at 535hp, comp twin at 800hp
-CDV (clutch delay valve) negative
-tires: nitto nt01s
-MTF fluid: redline

I have to clarify something about my trans failure, it wasnt the case that split, but the section behind that, split it almost completely in half on a 4th gear highway pull, stock trans held for about 700 miles at that power level

Joeyballs, That would be cool to see your internals after all the beating you've given it. Refresh my memory. Did you have a trans failure or just uprgading Just Cause?
