I'll let this link do the talking. I'm just curious what everyone's thoughts are about this product. http://www.d3peparts.com/ProductDeta...-GMTOS2K-PLATE

was looking at that on honda-tech. too much money for just the adapter. you can get a adapter plate cut on the water jet for almost half that price. i believe pfi has a 1/4" thick one which is a better choice

Yea. As opposed to the $5000 V160. Also the work that would be involved in making a GM tranny work.

^$5000 for a v160 would be a great price, currently. Suprastore has them for $6500+ shipping (another $250ish).

all depends on what you want/personal preference. auto vs manual. but the whole setup comes out quite less than the 6k v160, and thats including a pretty stout gm trans with all the bells and whistles and a torque converter/flexplate. the dragster actually has a metric 200 since its so light and easy on the trans.

So this adapter would only work for auto transmissions? I was under the impression that you could use any small block chevy tranny. T56????
