Trouble installing new fuel pump
My mechanic is in the process of trying to install a Walbro 255 fuel pump in my 08, but the pump does not fit like the OEM pump does. The Walbro unit sticks out about .5" further than OEM once the plastic nozzle piece is connected and the unit is in the plastic assembly. This issue also happens with an AEM 320 pump, being that it's the same size as the Walbro.
Does anyone have instructions on how to modify the plastic assembly that the fuel pump installs in or what needs to be done with the plastic nozzle that the fuel pump connects to?
Or is there another option for a high flow fuel pump that's a direct replacement for OEM on 08?
