My car will fire right up when its dead cold. When it has been running for awhile it is drawing so much amoerage that it has blown the 150amp fuse that was installed next to the battery and now I am running straight metal bar in its place just to crank it over. I have to hold the throttle wide open and hope it fires up. It cranks sloly and is just drawing so much power the lights dim does anyone have any idea what could be causing this. It just started happening within the last week.
You have a short it you are blowing a 150 amp fuse. The short may only show up once you get warm though. I hope you have very large cables from the battery, especially since they are no longer protected by a fuse . Find the short and fix it, this is a fire waiting to happen.
Weel I drove home tonight and then went out to go for a drive and I had to hold the pedal down for it to start. Doesn't this mean that its getting to much gas and you need to hold the throttle open to get some oxygen in there to combust?? What could be causing this am I running to rich and flooding it out?
