Thumbs up Tuning method w/competch SC and new pulley

Dear Community,

My Ap2 has been boosted for about 8 months (of which I only drove 2 due to chicago horrid winters). I am going for a 350-400whp build and this is what I have thus far:

Science of Speed Pulley 10.5LBS
RC 750CC injectors
Exedy Hypersingle

NOw its time to tune...

The options I see are:

Hondata K/F Pro - Very expensive, but retains many OEM features of the car
AEM EMS - A bit less expensive, hard to tune, runs poorly at times - no emissions
Apexi NEO/SAFC - I dont even know if this is possible or safe?

From those of you that are boosted, and have been running safley for years, please advise your tuning method?

Edward

Are you tuning yourself or getting a tuner? If the latter, then it doesn't matter that the AEM is hard to tune, because for a good tuner it is not.

I'd say for the money and features? Maybe e-manage or AEM FIC.

have you considered an Emanage ultimate? if tuned correctly, you won't have any problems.

My VAFC has been great to me, but your goals are a bit out of it's range. You'll need bigger injectors and a VAFC doesn't have the ability to control larger injectors. You could look into an Emanage or the AEM piggyback but a AEM standalone would be the best option, IMO.

How come you say the AEM EMS is hard to tune? I found the software to be very good once I made a couple updates.

AEM just has hickups in different weather conditions, and chicago tough. Ill take a look at Emanage ultimate.

I have the AEM EMS and I've never had a single problem.
Granted I had it tuned by Church, but still no problems
