Im in the same boat!

plan to run around 10lbs on my CTSC kit, 650cc injectors, laskey built head etc.

Im looking into AEM FIC / AEM EMS / E-Manage Ultimate

Chime in people who have been using these for 5000+ miles and let me hear your likes/dislikes.

Dear Community,

My Ap2 has been boosted for about 8 months (of which I only drove 2 due to chicago horrid winters). I am going for a 350-400whp build and this is what I have thus far:

Science of Speed Pulley 10.5LBS
RC 750CC injectors
Exedy Hypersingle

NOw its time to tune...

The options I see are:

Hondata K/F Pro - Very expensive, but retains many OEM features of the car
AEM EMS - A bit less expensive, hard to tune, runs poorly at times - no emissions
Apexi NEO/SAFC - I dont even know if this is possible or safe?

From those of you that are boosted, and have been running safley for years, please advise your tuning method?

Edward
I wasn't aware they made a 10.5lbs pulley ? and 750 injectors might be overkill

Are you staying with stock compression ? because I don't see anything in your
post about thicker head gasket and I'm not sure about eingine longevity if you
plan to go above 10psi on stock compression

First you want to ask yourself do you want to stay OBII compatible in other
words do you care about passing inspection ? because this will narrow your
decision

Then I would find a tuner and talk with them and find out what they suggest
with regard to your HP goals

Duff I would suggest the same to you hope this helps and good luck

From the research I've done 10psi on stock block, stock headgasket is fine, If anyone thinks else wise please chime in and advise.

If you are in chicago talk to pinyo from profunction.
he can answer all your question and guide you the right way.
hes not cheap, but really good guy. he just tune kpro for james d. and hes very happy with it (switched from aem) i have aem and im happy, would rather have kpro just for passing emissions and back to aem lol.
Good luck with everything, you have to comeout to meets here in chicago area.

I went with the AEM EMS when it first came out. I'm very satisfied with the product.

Already got a PRB ECU and sending out to Hondata. Here is my only question:

IF i run a thicker gasket, with VTC being disabled as hondata suggests, what happens to the timing of the entire engine?

As well, most run a .074" gasket, but I dont want to do something that heavy. I was thinking .060" which is double of stock.

Let me know your thoughts guys,

Eddie

I am upgrading my vortech with a smaller pulley and supporting mods and have decided to go with AEM ems. In an emissions state it is a little more annoying to swap it out for inspection but I think it will be worthwhile given its capabilities. Most eveyone else with higher boost supercharger setups here are running it and do not complain.

I have EMS, and sometimes I get the hiccup, minor tweak and back to normal.

Jorge-no one can be as good as you..well maybe Church.
