Default Turbo AEM v2 AFR issue straight downpipe

Hey guys.. Sorry, it's been my nightly ritual to get back from my buddies garage and come on here to ask a question or two

I've been doing a fair amount of searching on this topic but I'm curious what you guys think in the S2k community for s2000's specifically.

I bought this used pfab kit from another s2ki member, I finally started her up tonight on stands, so I wasn't cruising to test out the tune or anything... But my AEM inline UEGO wideband is reading pretty high AFR.. anything from 14.7-19ish... The tune is a etune from Jeff Evans on a 2005(mine is an 04') with the same exact kit but a test pipe that goes from 3" to 2.5" and his old 2.5" exhaust. He was running his secondary o2 in the test pipe..

I started it up with just the downpipe and wideband attached. If any of you can decipher these photos, could you tell me if I'm safe to turtle it to a tuner or does it look decent? I can put the test pipe he has on, but it won't attach to my 60mm HKS without some modification anyway... I was gonna run open downpipe/testpipe until I could get an exhaust for it..

Let me know, I can include more info tomorrow when I go to work on her again.. Thanks in advance guys! I really appreciate any help I can get because this is my first turbo setup and I want it go as smoothly as possible

Jason

Too lean. Note target O2 of 14.7 O2 #1 FB value is 10.2%.

Max FB value is probably +/-10.2.

In other word, AFR is running lean. O2 feedback is on and compensating by adding more fuel at 10.2%, but it is not enough to bring the AFR down to the target of 14.7.

Two option to play with this:

1. Increase the pulse width cell in the fuel table. Engine Load vs. RPM

or

2. Set Max FB vlue to +/- 20%. Or more if you want to play with the settings to see how the car reacts to it when O2 feedback is on.

Thanks for the help man, I'm just curious if running the open test pipe can cause it to be giving me a false reading or be causing it to lean out. Does that make sense? Kinda seems weird that it's a tune from an 05 with the exact same mods and it's off like that.

So the setup was tuned on a different car and then everything switched over to another car using that tune?

Lots of variables I could think of that could effect the fueling.

1. Different engine; engine health ect...
2. Different fueling; fuel pressure variation from fuel regulator or fuel pump;
3. Different O2 sensor used; check o2 calibration in software; gauge O2 reading should match software O2 reading.

If the O2 sensor is working correctly; Set the O2 FB Rich limit and Lean limit to %30-40 and you could probably scoot to the tuner without problems.
