Unless you have loads of practice brazing aluminium I wouldn't try the Durafix or Aladin rods. It's tricky and you'll end up making a mess.

yah, thanks for the tip. I will most likely be getting it welded, I am SOL(shit out of luck) to turboing her until I get an inspection sticker! I am so close but yet so far. P.S I live in Mass.

I welded my own intercooler plumbing, any reputable machine/welding/performance shop should be able to do it for you. Being a certified welder, I would recommend only tig welding the aluminum intercooler plumbing. It should be a snap if you are using a quality 6061 aluminum, prep the surfaces, and use a quality 6061 filler. I wouldn't trust brazed aluminum joints for holding pressure. Make sure the welds get some good penetration and are not undercut. Should look somewhat similar to this:

I have to return my car to near stock to pass emissions next month. Not fun, but has to be done.

For reference, I was able to fabricate all of my plumbing with just 4 "U" bends and 3 18" straight sections.

Took me a week!

Ok, so a sunday followed by a saturday with some driveshaft bolts procured during the week.

And I was working alone with the car on jack stands so I'm pretty happy with it but not keen to do it again.
