well with my turbo build, i went a less traveled route. i built my bottom end but kept the 11.0:1 compression and bored the cylinders out .5 over. i used cp pistons and steele sleeves, acl race bearings, arp head studs, and a factory honda head gasket. the head was fully built with BRIAN CROWER dual core valve springs, titanium retainers, swirl polished valves, and im taing out my n/a bc cams and putting my stock ap1 cams back in.

well if you got the engine cracked open right now, if your wanting to boost high psi safely, go with low compression pistons and a good stock thickness head gasket (IMO) bc i hear alot about these thicker headgaskets causing issues. if you wanna go my route (higher compression, lower psi) get something like cp pistons and some good rods and such and get it tuned REALLY well. higher compression engines are more finicky with boost, but can make power quick off of a smaller amount. just something to think about.

I would go with lower compression than 11.0:1 and a good set of aftermarket parts that was mentioned before because soon you will discover that 14psi is not enough . People who tend to improve their motors want to go higher all time. So you better do something on the safe side from start to have the room to play with boost if you need too

How big on headgasket?

Decompress with the pistons so normal thickness. And diameter is decided by the size pistons.
