I did the same as AusS2000 and extended my fittings past the turbo and ran hard line almost to the throttle body and switched over to coolant line. I ran it this way so I could keep the coolant line away from heat so it wouldn't melt and it has held up great.

I thought I read the reasoning behind this is that it'll allow some minimal coolant flow when the car shuts off and you have a hot turbo sitting. Heat rises. It's somewhere in Garrett's documentation.

thanks for all the help guys, now im not sure which to do, the t/b or the oil cooler. should i keep the stock oil cooler if i relocate the filter?

You're in NY, so the throttle body warming circuit was designed with you in mind. Keep it.

The stock oil cooler is not just a cooler. It's a warmer as well. It's designed to get the oil up to operating temperature quickly, but then keep it there. With FI you'll have little trouble getting the oil up to temp. The turbo does a nice job of adding heat to the oil. But you may have trouble keeping it cool, even with the OEM cooler.

As you're looking to relocate the oil filter, run the oil through a thermostat and air/oil oil cooler too.

but if i use the t/b wouldnt it just the turbo in line with it?
