Default Turbo hittting the frame

Right now my turbo from inline pro is sitting on the frame. It is not the whole thing of course because they notched it already.(a square hole) The coupler is still resting a bit on the frame thought because that is the only part that was not cut because of saftey reasons. IS there something that anyone out here can SHOW me and tell me how they did it. Ideas are welcomed very much thanks. Oh and by the way i need to polish the hell out of my charge pipes where can i get that done too? and how much does it run?? thanks guys....

This is what i have already.... and at idle it vibrates the frame. The red part i circled is resting with the coupler part of the turbo.

Well if you do notch it make sure you corners are rounded off.

A sharp corner will add a failure point and possably bend the frame.

Being a old minitrucker its best that what you take out you put back in to get some support back.

Well use something that will cut the metal like a grinder or something then when you cut it out make sure your edges are rounded off. No sharp corners.

*puts on minitrucker hat*

Ok if you round off the edges of a notch it wont be as much of a weak point. If theres sharp edges and corners it will ultimatly lead to a failure point. 1: it could cause a crack that could spread thru the whole of the frame.

2: if it does crack wherever is forward of it could brake off by its own weight.

There was an epasode of trucks! on spike tv called project body bag, They talk about frame notching and such and inform you about how important it is to have rounded edges and no sharp corners.

I have seen many horror storys cause someone dident do there front spring pocket right. they were riding down the hiway casually then all of a sudden the front passanger side hits the pavment. Spring pocket ripted itself off the frame.

It just lessons the likleyhood of a crack in the frame and spreading like a spiderweb.

It's on a seam, a weak point.

Unlikely anything will happen, but I personally wouldn't cut it.

So all inlinepro kits need to cut into the frame? that's crappy.

Incorrect. Many turbo housings are small enough to fit. I'm not a huge fan of notching the frame, but there are enough guys running this way to convince me it's safe.
