Default Turbo Install Questions

I'm thinking since Supercharging is becoming a hassle, what if I went turbo instead? How much would a install cost and how long would it take? I understand that I'd have to get a tune as well but I was planning on that with a SC too.

Out of curiosity, what makes you feel supercharging is a hassle?

the biggest hassle with installing an S/C is the crank pulley, besides that its cake. Turbo not so much..

Not the install, the finding a supercharge kit. I can get a turbo kit today and locally if I wanted to.

I would research and do it yourself. I never even drove a turbocharged vehicle (except for a diesel box truck at work once) let alone messed with any turbo stuff before I turbo'd my s2000. It took a lot of research on here with asking questions and help from a few friends.

You will save a lot of money and know that it is done right. That alone is priceless.

If you wanted to go the supercharger route, you probably won't be able to find one locally in stock.

Have you checked out the classifieds for used units? I know SOS has a virtually new kit that can be configured to however the buyer wants.

Otherwise:

As you can see, plenty of options!!

If you aren't able to install a kit yourself, don't even bother going FI. You'll regret it. I think everyone will agree with me.

^^I deff agree with juiced 1000%, I work on cars and understanding how a system works and doing things yourself is the way to go. Also it helps because when a problem does occur and usually problems do with every build you wont be bothered with having downtime cause youll understand how it work and be able to fix it yourself.
