Default turbo issues v.2

hey, i posted a thread about a week ago trying to work out the final kinks with my turbo setup. i found a few problems that i just fixed but the outcome is still the same.. the car breaks up in vtec. I found that my vtec jumper was set incorrectly and fixed it and i also found that my harness from greddy was missing the vtm wire and corrected that. i made some adjustments for testing by moving the vtec engagement point from different rpms but no matter what rpm i set vtec ON at. the car breaks up. this is so rough considering everything else is set to go but it just wont work correctly.. has anybody else encountered this problem? any insight is greatly appreciated.

the turbo kit is a greddy hybrid, inline pro hotside greddy intercooler and emanage ultimate with pressure sensor 750cc injectors ect

do you think if i rewire the emanage to not control vtec at all it will cure the problem.. i mean to just bypass the vtec wires on the emanage ultimate and have it remain in stock rpm it will cure it? or is it something way more complex

You could remover the vtec unit and make sure the screen is clean. Its and easy check. Other than that, I'm not sure what else it could be. I would have sworn it was just a low vtec setting.

yeh man i tried setting vtec all over the place and no matter what it just breaks up really bad at any rpm its set at. could this be an oiling issue? the car used to hit vtec no problem before the turbo kit. i think im gonna wire the harness so the vtec in and out wires are not intercepted at all by the emanage and have the ecu control it like stock and see what happens. is that a good move?

If it were me, I think I would try that and see what happens. Just make a pull or two and see if vtec switches over ok but don't do it a lot and don't leave it that way. If it works fine after you bypass the emanage harness than it will point you in the right direction and tell you its either wiring or something with the emanage itself. Is there some switch that isn't turned on correctly in the emanage software? When you switch rpm settings for vtec, did it actually change the switchover rpm point and would still break up at all of those different rpm settings? I mean could you definitely tell if say, you had it set at 4500 rpm and it broke up at that 4500 rpm setting and then you set it to 7000 rpm and it ran smooth all the way to 7000 rpm and broke up at that point. Was it actually doing that?

send your harness to Giles ask for Scott and ballistic motorsports , he tuned my s2000, he had to add and re-wire some wiring issues greddy has with there harness. They are located in Bow, New hampshire. They do great work I would highly recommend them.

spoolin.. after i hooked up the vtm wire i was able to have vtec kick over at any rpm i want.. so i set it down to 4k just for testing and as soon as it hit 4k it woulb break up. i was reading a very old post on here after some searching and found that somebody was having this same issue with the emanage and harness and found that cylinder 1 would stop firing when vtec was engaged. what could cause that? i tried contacting the person to see if they had any outcome but havent heard anything back yet. im gonna take a look at the wiring more closely tonight and see what i come up with.

I see. Keep us posted. This is a very strange thing going on.

Back in the beginning, about 5 years ago, I had the emanage blue but never had anything like this happen. Only issues I had were a hickup every so often and bucking.
