Default Turbo jdm f20c

Looking to get a jdm f20c to replace my block. Anyone with experience with boosting a jdm f20c? Thank you

Compression is higher (11.7:1), and should give 250hp instead of 240.
Not ideal for boosting i'd say....
If you can get your hands on a US or EU F20C, it's probably cheaper

No. The extra compression will make a huge difference for forced induction.

I would prefer to boost the JDM F20c for the simple fact that the compression is higher. Yes your pump gas numbers will be limited but if you have a race fuel, e85, or meth option the JDM version will make more power and be more responsive versus the 11.0:1 USDM

The cost of the jdm engine doesnt justify the results. Id rather by the us spec engine and put my money else where.

There are plenty for sale in the UK. Shipping must be pretty expensive... but if you have no other options...
