Default Turbo S2K build from down-under

Guys,

i have a 99 AP1 S2K.

About to turbo it (kings performance RHD kit) but I have a query.. My car has 201,000kms on it now (120,000miles). I feel this is a lot of mileage to start putting boost through. Should I rebuild it (re-ring or sleeve?) or go ahead? Can anyone chime in that is running FI on a car with similar mileage?

Also I have searched and searched and searched, who is the company from AUS that makes the kit's for the NA 300ZX diffs?

What are your thoughts on the mileage? Rolling the dice adding a turbo so late to the game?

Mileage is unimportant. If the car has been taken care off it will be good. The car could have 20K on it and be abused and I wouldn't advise you to FI it.

that's the same with any car, isn't it. When is the timing chain said to be changed in these engines?

I have read so many differing opinions on what a stock s2000 can handle.... I am only aiming for 400rwhp ,hopefully i don't grenade 2nd gear.

Some more than others. These cars are well built.

Such as the timing chain. It's not a belt with a 100K life (designed to keep stealerships rich). It will last as long as the engine.

400 is entry level.

Doesn't the repair manual state that the chain is to be changed at 150,000 miles (or similar)?

By entry level you mean i won't be hurting my gearbox/diff at that power level?

I may shoot you a PM if you don't mind.

Not sure what the repair manual says.

Some stock F20Cs are making 700. Some more. You'll need a better clutch and be easy on your diff (I thought you were going Diff Technics) but your gearbox will be ok as long as you treat it nice. It's about the only part I haven't replaced (yet).

I won't be buying their kit.. i want to get some information on what they use. I'm pretty confident I can do it myself (mig/tig setup at home, have built motors/gearboxes before).

That was my next question.. clutch. I will not deal with CM anymore. Their clutches are SHIT.

I was looking at ACT HD PP with OEM clutch disk.. my only concern being will it be up to the task if i wind the boost up (or change turbo's etc). The car will be daily driven, I do not want to have to run a twin because of a) cost to replace when it burns out and b) pedal feel.

Sure some people make 700hp on their stock cars, but for how long. I am not looking to get 1year out of this setup.. I want to keep this car for a few years.

You'll be fine running the Act hdpp with a stock disk. Im running that pressure plate with the comp stage 3 disc and love it. Car made 480 on pump and 559 on race gas.
