Default Turbo size?s

Ive finally decided to go fi. Bought a couple pieces and i think i might have bout the wrong ones.
pfab log manifold t3 flange, 44 mil wastegate
tial 44wastegate

Now im on to buying the good stuff, and need some advice.
Im in a debate between two
3076r
35 82 ar

can someone tell me how much diffrently these two turbos will act on my car.
Spool time?
power?
drivability?
also wondering if the 44m wastegate is too big????

Looking for 400+whp

thanks kris

I dont think you can ever go too big for a W/G, as far as the 3076 vs 35r, I would say 3076 spools much quicker and tops out around 500, where the 35 is laggy but has better top end

Ill let the experts chime in though

if you are only going to run on pump gas and want no more than like 500ish then go for the 3076r. if you might want a little more power down the road then get the 35r. I wouldnt call the 35r laggy. sure it wont spool as quick as the 3076 but you will pretty much have instant power after like 4500rpm and will not fall off at all between gears.

What kind of driving/ racing are you gonna do? Stop and go 1/4 mile, track event. Everyday driver? Are dyno numbers important to you?

I used to have this exact set-up made 440whp on 15 psi with 35r fully spooled around 5k. The 35r will probably be maxed out at 650whp with c16. 500whp is right in it's efficiency range by the graph that the guy that built my turbo showed me. 35r will be more than enough for 400whp. Then you get this bug where you start changing everything and dump money and buy bigger everything

Thats funny to hear 35r called laggy becuz I just went with a 67/65 n i love the top end power so much i dont rely worry about 0-60 with 450+ hp its hard to grip their ne way, by 7600k it sounds so ridiculous n the pull is amazing. Go with the 35r.
