Default Turbo stops spinning at idle

Ok guys I got my car started today. It ran great btw even with no o2 feed back on the kpro. I had to make a temp down pipe just to see if it started and did not want the exhaust gases going all over the firewall, so no o2 connected. After running for a few minutes I noticed the turbo stopped spinning. This was when the rpms came down from the initial start. It was idleing around 900-1000rpm. I quikly shut it off and let it sit for a little bit. Checked the turbo with my hand and no shaft play or any resistance. Spins freely. I decided to start it up again to if the same thing would happen. Initially the turbo was spinning and slowly came to a stop again. I rev'd the car lightly and the turbo spun with a slight rev and again slowly came to a stop when the rpm came back down.

Is this normal? I wouldn't think so, figured it should be spinning the entire time. I am almost 100% sure my old set up the turbo would never stop spinning.

Thanks
Martin

Yeah my jb will stop spinning it I let it sit for awhile. I have a big exhaust housing, So i think that attributes to it.

its possible that you have a exhaust leak before the turbocharger, see if there is good suction at the turbo inlet, if there is (almost enough to grab your hand) than it maybe the way the turbo will be, i have seen this happen on other hondas running JB units, but they functioned perfectly normal, but with it being a PTE unit, it might be a faulty bearing system, Precision uses a spring set bearing system which is very vulnerable to sudden shock, and can damaged the turbo, Garrett and other companys use a bolt set bearing setup which can handle more abuse....

Weird... That doesnt seem right but I'd check for leaks and then give Precision a call.

My ball bearing 5965 spins for at least 30-45 seconds AFTER I shut the car off.

My JB 6262 spins like mad when the car is just idling at around 950 rpm.

Something doesnt seem right. I wonder if it isnt getting adequate oil.
