It is a .82a/r turbine and stock compression. This build has been an nightmare. Hard to tell if I had an exhaust leak since there was no exhaust so a little to loud to tell.

I would not be worried if it still spun just slowly. The fact that it stops makes me worried.

Its a brand new turbo too isnt it Martin? If so, its under warranty and you should just wait to see how it does after you get about 100 or so miles on it. If it keeps doing it after the turbo has gotten worn in some, then there may be a problem. I would wait until then though. Like I said, my JB 6262 with .82 AR turbine housing and on an engine CR of 8.8:1, mine spins like mad at idle, but it's worn in now too. Although I can remember it was spinning real good when it was brand new too because I remember sitting there watching it spin while the engine was running. Had it not been spinning, I would have been thinking the same thing as you.

its 99% prolly all good. an 82 is kinda big. with oem timing, its not pumping too much exh gas on idle. dont worry about it.

What does timing have to do with exhaust volume at idle?

I actually bought my turbo from Peter@ISP. It was on his car, he wanted to go bigger and I did not want to wait. I was going to run it on my old set up untill I found out I would have to cut the car up to make it fit. He said it only had about 1k on it. Maybe on the car 3 months max. Should have just ordered a new one since I did not need one right way after all.
