A vented hood is a good start. Look into wrapping your downpipe and possibly your turbo.

Just leave your fans running all the time
Better a burnt out fan then replacing a motor because of heat
My friend leaves his fans running all the time
It took his under the hood temps from 210 F to 190 F
Atleast do it for the summer.

Isn't winter the riskier season, with cold air and boost spikes?

Turbo blanket. They also make a thermal wrap for the downpipe.

*shrug* I just have a vented hood and temps are acceptable by any means so far.

I'm having some heat issues driving around in stop and go. I think venting the hood is going to be a gigantic help. I'm running the stock radiator and stock oil cooler and a lovefab manifold, so yes, it's very hot. We just installed a metal heat shield to protect my fuse box as the plastic was getting so hot it was tacky to the touch, but after the shield the plastic stays much much cooler.

I will be putting thermo sleeve on my rubber hoses and termotec tape around the smaller wires and such, as well as the vented hood. Heat is not something you want to mess around with, so I keep my drives short and I always let the car idle at least one minute with the hood open when I get out of the car.
