Moving to the F.I. forum.

ps. You might try a search. Oddly enough, this very question has been asked a lot lately.

Honestly though, if you are asking us which is better for you I would say neither. FI for this engine carries significant risk and you should do ALOT of homework before deciding to do either. If you don't, all you're likely to end up with is a blown engine. There is a wealth of information about turbo/SC's on this site read up and see what others have said.

Corky Bell has also written two book, one on superchargers and one on turbo chargers. Both are worthy reads. Once you've read alot of the information available I think you'll find you don't need us to tell you which one is better for you You'll already know.

running a turbo. Roughly 10k into mine right now, though you can get a good kit for 5-7k.

start with the sc. See if you can get that up and running. Work out the kinks. Learn to tune it. Them move to turbo.

Not that it makes sense money wise, but that's what I'm doing. Bought a used S/C gonna run it with just the FMU and a PLX to tune it on a 7psi pulley. This will buy me some time to add a clutch, stand alone ECU, for the 9psi pulley. That should make the car pretty fun to drive for a while. Then a year or two down the road if needbe I will go with a turbo kit.

Again I'm not saying this is a good route to take I just wanted to share my project.
