I am looking to sell my Stage 3 s4 in hopes of getting into a Turbo S2000. I would like to be able to keep up with a C6 Z06 on pump gas 93 oct. I was thinking GT35R 18psi 2mm HG..sound about right?

Why on earth would you choose to start with the undersized Greddy turbo kit if you are going to invest in a standalone engine management system? Is it that much less expensive than something like the Inline Pro kits which will make more hp reliably?

I just looked up pricing and Evasive has the Greddy kit of $5319. A stage 1 Inline Pro kit can be had for $3795 during one of their specials. Injectors and ECU/tune will cost additional but the price difference will be negligible.

Actually, now an Inline Pro stage 1 kit can be had for $3295. Look here:

yeah but thats why its called a "tuner kit" I've seen people buy these kits and take forever if you do it by yourself. Greddy is just bolt on and go. Most sponsors on this site will sell the greddy kit for 3800-4000 shipped.

Earlier in the thread it had been suggested that he tune the Greddy kit himself with a standalone rather than the EMU. My point was that he could do the IP kit if he's going to go that route.

There should be no difference in installation between the Ultimate Racing, Inline Pro, LoveFab, or Greddy kit.

Physically, you have a manifold, turbo, intercooler, etc...to bolt up. The only difference would be the ecu/tuning. That shouldn't really take forever unless you're too tight on budget...in which case maybe FI isn't the best option.

My only point was that if you're going to tune it yourself, why not buy something that's got some headroom? The physical installation of these kits should be very similar.

yeah I see what your saying, but with the kit you have to weld on fmic dp flanges and it takes a while to do it (like you said if your on a tight budget). And to do it the right way also.

I don't know what you're talking about as far as the FMIC but I just got off the phone with Ya because I was surprised by your suggestion. His response makes sense.

He said that Inline purposely sells an open-ended 3 inch downpipe with their kits. Why? Because everyone is running different exhausts that use different diameters and flanges. In other words, unless you are running a 3 inch exhaust, the same diameter as the downpipe, you are going to need to reduce the diameter of the downpipe to whatever the catback exhaust diameter is. Meineke could weld the flange one for a whopping $35 locally. It seems like a minor inconvenience to me given the performance benefits and headroom a kit like that gives you.
